"“I’ve finished the eye and I’m up on my ear”: A Female Medical Student’s Life "

Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania did not publish official yearbooks until the mid-20th century, although student newsletters and magazines were published.  Laura Heath Hills and the rest of the Class of 1896 did not have a newsletter or magazine, so as Class Historian, Dr. Hills composed a book of memories about each of her classmates.

The souvenir book acts as an early version of a yearbook.  It gives the reader an idea of how the students viewed their education at Woman’s Medical College.
